Bailiff & Enforcement Services, Training & Consultancy

Continual Professional Development

Professional development has become a part of the certification process and proof of maintaining a working knowledge is becoming a requirement that HM Judiciary are expecting to see.

Bestco are holding 1/2 day seminars which are open to all Bailiff/Enforcement Agents and which comply with the 'ongoing training & development' that Judges are expecting to see, an attendance certificate will be issued at the end of the session.

Even though there are no CPD regulations for bailiff's/CEA's if the enforcement profession has to be able to 'prove' that ongoing training has been received by members  applying for a renewal of his/her cetificate, it is our view and one shared with many in the profession, that eventually CPD rules will apply.

Currently solicitors have to have 20hrs + a year CPD; legal executives outcome focused training CPD of 16hrs a year, so it is not unreasonable to expect bailiff's/EA's to have in the region of 10hrs per year

Bestco offer 121 training sessions (over 2 days) for persons interested in entering the Bailiff / Enforcement industry the course is intended to be the first step in obtaining a EA Certificate.

Bestco offer inhouse training courses in bailiff (EA) law which is aimed at non front line employees of Local Authorities and companies employing bailiffs (EA), so that they are able to understand the complexities of laws that their agents act under in the enforcement process.
